Week 8- Cryptic Coding in Class

Last week, before fall break, we spent the class period learning about cryptography and how it relates to encryption in the technology world. I honestly wasn't aware of the different types of cryptography out there, so it was nice to be able to experience and explore a couple of them. It brought me back to elementary school days were you and your friend would pass "coded" messages that only the two of you would understand. In the end, all of this roots in privacy and our desire to keep some communications to a select few. In our world today, those things are becoming harder and harder to achieve, and it's nice to know that there are still ways for us to keep the really important information away from the wrong eyes. I'll leave with that hopeful note and will keep this up later this week! Later~
